"Panorama Mesdag" is a cylindrical painting, more that 14 meters high and 120 meters in circumference.
The Vista of the Sea, the dunes and Scheveningen village was painted by Hendrik Willem Mesdag in 1880 with the help of his wife Sientje Mesdag Van Houten and several other painters of "The Hague School" as Breitner, De Bock and Blommers.
It is the oldest 19th century panorama in the World in its original site, and a unique heritage. Just spectacular and a must see while visiting The Hague.
Open Monday - Saturday from 10am until 5pm. Sunday from noon until 5pm. Entrance fee Euro 6 per person. www.mesdag.nl
